The Sutton ADU Riverside Guarantee
When we build an ADU or room addition on your lot in Riverside, you get the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing on your project documents. It means this: for one full calendar year from the day we complete your build, if any element of the workmanship isn’t right, we come back and make it right. No haggling. No invoice. No debate about whether it’s “covered.” The Promise covers defects in workmanship for one full calendar year from project completion, and it’s stamped on every Sutton ADU Riverside project, not offered as a verbal assurance. Miles Hartwell stands behind it personally.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship defects. Any flaw in how we built it, installed it, finished it, or connected it is covered under the 365-Day Done Right Promise for a full year.
- Parts and materials we supplied. If a component we sourced and installed fails within the coverage period, we handle the repair or replacement so you’re not chasing a distributor on your own.
- A free second visit if something fails. If a repair or element of the build doesn’t hold up, you get a second visit at no charge, with no fee and no negotiation required.
- Written price before work begins. You receive a fixed, line-item price on paper before a single tool comes off the truck, and that price doesn’t drift upward silently while the project is underway.
- Crew standards, every visit. Every technician who arrives is background-checked, identity-verified, uniformed, and photo-badged, and their name and photo are sent to you before they show up.
- On-time arrival and a clean site. We show up when we say we will, and we treat your Riverside property like a home, not a staging yard.
Our Satisfaction Promise
Here’s how it works if you’re not satisfied. You call us, describe what’s wrong, and we schedule a return visit to look at it. There’s no phone tree and no voicemail queue when you have a question about your build: a live person answers every call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the problem falls under workmanship, the 365-Day Done Right Promise applies and we take care of it at no cost to you. If it turns out the issue came from something else, like a manufacturer defect or normal settling, we’ll explain exactly what we’re seeing, what it will take to fix, and what it will cost before any work moves forward. The second visit to diagnose is free either way. That’s the Threshold Standard in practice: a system, not a hopeful promise. Miles has been overseeing builds this way since 2006, and he’d rather take a second look than leave a Riverside homeowner wondering if their addition was built right.
Licensed & Insured Backing
A guarantee is only as strong as the company behind it, and that’s where licensing and insurance come in. Sutton ADU Riverside is a licensed and insured ADU contractor in California, which means every project is bound by state requirements for permits, inspections, and building codes specific to Riverside. Insurance gives you a real layer of financial protection if something goes wrong on the job site: property damage, injury, or an accident won’t fall on your homeowner’s policy alone. Combined with the written price you receive before work starts and the 365-Day Done Right Promise, the licensing and insurance backing means the guarantees we put on paper are enforceable and real. We’re part of the Threshold Group family of home-service companies, operating under Threshold Verified standards since 2006.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Guarantee
The Promise covers defects in workmanship for one full calendar year from project completion. If a material we supplied and installed fails because of how it was installed, that’s a workmanship issue and it’s covered. If a manufacturer defect appears, we’ll help you navigate the manufacturer’s own warranty and handle the parts coordination so you aren’t left managing it alone. Call (831) 217-6083 and we’ll walk through what applies to your specific build.
Even after the 365-Day Done Right Promise period ends, we don’t disappear. If you notice an issue with your ADU or room addition, call us and describe what you’re seeing. We’ll tell you honestly whether it’s something that needs attention, what the likely cause is, and what it would cost to address. In many cases, a quick phone call resolves the question. There’s no charge for the conversation.
No. You receive a written price before any work begins, and that’s the price you pay unless you request a change to the scope of the project yourself. If we uncover an unforeseen condition during the build, like buried debris or a sewer line in an unexpected place, we’ll stop and show it to you, then give you a written price for the additional work before we touch it. Nothing gets added to your bill silently.
Sutton ADU Riverside has direct experience with ADU product lines including Abodu, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, Plant Prefab, Boxabl, and Cover, plus Tuff Shed conversions and James Hardie exterior systems. The structure itself carries the manufacturer’s warranty. Our job is the site work, foundation, utility connections, and finishing, and all of that falls under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. We’ll help you understand which warranty covers which part before you sign anything.
Before every visit, you’ll receive the name and photo of the technician scheduled to arrive. They’ll be in a clean, marked uniform and they’ll show a photo ID badge at the door. Every field technician is background-checked and identity-verified under Threshold Verified standards. If someone shows up claiming to be from Sutton ADU Riverside and doesn’t match the photo you were sent, don’t let them in.
